After a string of disappointing results, Wolfsburg coach Niko Kovac has come under increasing scrutiny.

For now, however, his job does not appear to be in jeopardy. After Sunday's 2-2 result against Hoffenheim - Wolfsburg's fourth draw in a row - the club's sporting director, Marcel Schaefer, made it clear that he intends to keep Kovac in charge.

"Niko will remain coach, he will be on the training pitch tomorrow and we will prepare for Union as well as possible," Schäfer said, according to Kicker.

He added that he considers it a "matter of course" to finish the season with the current coach.
