Disappointed not to have won the first game after going 2-0 up after just 10 minutes, Eintracht will be determined to book their place in the next round in front of their home fans.
"We saw in the first leg that Union play good football. On the one hand, we're disappointed to have squandered a 2-0 lead. But we're sharp, we're focused and we have to do everything to win," Eintracht midfielder Sebastian Rode said at a press conference on Wednesday.
"We need maximum concentration and maximum discipline. It's a knockout game, every little mistake will be punished. We have to be wide awake and want to make the most of our home advantage," said Eintracht coach Dino Toppmöller.
Die Adler are coming off a 3-3 draw with Freiburg in which Sasa Kalajdzic suffered a serious injury.
Dino Toppmöller is also expected to be without Philipp Max, who missed the final training session due to illness, as well as Hugo Larsson, Nacho Ferri and Mehdi Loune.
The away side will have to manage without the injured trio of Fedde Leysen, Kevin Mac Allister, Kevin Rodriguez and the suspended Charles Vanhouette, who was sent off in the first leg.
