Selke ruled out for the season

FC Köln have revealed that Davie Selke will miss the rest of the season after breaking his foot.
Davie Selke has played his last game for FC Köln this season.

This has been confirmed by the club, who announced that an MRI scan this morning revealed that the striker has broken his left foot and will require surgery.

Selke also missed a number of games earlier this year due to a fracture in his left foot.

The 29-year-old has started the last two matches for the Billy Goats, for whom he has scored six goals in 21 appearances this season.

His injury comes as a blow to Cologne, who are fighting to avoid relegation. After a crucial 2-1 win over Bochum, the club sit in 17th place, one point behind Mainz and four points behind Bochum.
