Klinsmann reveals Ondrej Duda and Salomon Kalou could leave Hertha in January
Ondrej Duda and Salomon Kalou are some of the players who could depart Hertha BSC during the January transfer window.
Hertha BSC coach Jürgen Klinsmann says that Ondrej Duda and Salomon Kalou could both leave the club in January.
"It's quite possible that Duda will leave the club. I had a really good talk with Kalou. He sees that he can't get the chance at the moment. He's a realist. I have given him some time to consider his situation, so he doesn't have to be here at the moment. He's very professional," Klinsmann told B.Z.
Hertha currently have 34 first-team players in their ranks, and Klinsmann wants to trim down his squad ahead of the club's training camp in Florida.
"We want to fly to the United States with a maximum of 25 players - including the goalkeepers. That's our plan," he said.
According to various reports, Hertha are set to sign Santiago Ascacibar from Stuttgart. The German capital club have also been linked with Granit Xhaka from Arsenal as well as a number of other players.
In addition to Duda and Kalou, Alexander Esswein, Mathew Leckie, Dennis Jastrzembski, Sidney Friede, Maurice Covic, Palko Dardai, Florian Baak and Muhammed Kiprit probably don't have a future at Hertha, according to B.Z.
