FC Augsburg have confirmed that Philipp Max has left the club to join PSV with immediate effect.

Reports claim the Bundesliga side will receive around €10 million including bonuses for the left-back, who has made the switch to the Netherlands on a four-year deal.

"After we received a concrete offer for Philipp for the first time, and he approached us with his clear desire for a transfer, we agreed a deal with Eindhoven after intensive but fair discussions as the total package of the transfer suits us," said Augsburg chief Stefan Reuter.

"We have had very successful years together, with participation in the Europa League as a highlight, and we would like to thank Philipp for his commitment."

Max, 26, scored 15 goals and made 29 assists in 156 games for Augsburg.
