Tyler Adams feels he has taken a big step forward in his development since joining RB Leipzig from New York Red Bulls in January 2019.

Speaking in an interview with Sport Bild, the 21-year-old says he is confident he can play a key role in the 2020/21 season.

"I'm the best Tyler Adams yet, even if I can still improve. I've learned a lot, I've improved tactically, I know what I have to do," the U.S. international said and continued:

"I'm now ready to consistently help the team. I'm in top shape, my head is clear. There's nothing to stop me from playing as many games as possible.

"The coach has told me he wants me to win a lot of balls, use my ability to control the game or speed things up by passing the ball into dangerous areas."

Adams has made 29 appearances for RB Leipzig so far, scoring once and making two assists.
