Ajdin Hrustic has revealed he will join Eintracht Frankfurt or FC Köln if he is allowed to leave by his club, FC Groningen.

With one year left on his deal with the Dutch Eredivisie outfit, Hrustic has turned down a contract extension, because he's keen on a move to the German Bundesliga.

"I'm ready for a new challenge and the Bundesliga is one of the best leagues in the world. Looking towards the World Cup in a couple of years, it would be a great place to be playing," Hrustic told Australian news outlet The World Game and added:

"We're talking about two great clubs with great stadiums and massive fan bases, and having to make a choice like this is a great problem to have. Groningen have tried to extend my contract. But I've told them I'm ready and open for the next step - I feel like I need something new in my life.

"It will be one of the two, unless Groningen don't accept the offer. You never know in football. I'm hoping for an answer as quickly as possible."

Hrustic, 24, has made 74 appearances for Groningen with six goals and five assists to his name.
