Jhon Cordoba reportedly on the verge of joining Hertha BSC

Jhon Cordoba was left out of FC Köln's line-up for Saturday's DFB-Pokal encounter with Altglienicke, because he is nearing a move to Hertha BSC, according to various reports.
Hertha BSC are in talks to sign Jhon Cordoba from FC Köln, according to Kicker, Transfermarkt and Express.de.

As earlier reported, FC Köln coach Markus Gisdol said he left Cordoba out of his line-up for Saturday's 6-0 win over Altglienicke in the DFB-Pokal, because the striker is in negotiations over a move away from the club.

It is now reported that the 27-year-old is on the verge of joining Hertha in a deal worth around €15 million.

According to Transfermarkt, Ondrej Duda could move in the other direction – from Hertha to Köln – as part of the deal. Should they go ahead with a swap deal involving Duda, Hertha would only have to pay around €8 million for Cordoba, as per the report.
