Lothar Matthäus believes Bayern München should consider signing Andrej Kramaric from Hoffenheim.

Kramaric scored a brace in Hoffenheim's 4-1 win over Bayern on Sunday, taking his goal tally to seven for the season in just three games in all competitions.

And according to Matthäus, the German champions should look into the possibility of bringing the 29-year-old Croatian striker to Allianz Arena.

"In my opinion, he certainly has the potential to play for Bayern München," the former German international wrote in a column for Sky and continued:

"He would not only be an ideal backup for Robert Lewandowski, but for Thomas Müller as well.

"He's very professional, a quality player with a lot of character, who has a contract with Hoffenheim until 2022 and who shouldn't cost that much. I think his price would be around €40 million. To me, he would be worth that for Bayern."

Kramaric has scored a total of 77 goals in 153 games for Hoffenheim.
