With just hours left of the transfer window, Hertha BSC now seem to have found the central midfielder they have been looking for.

According to Kicker, the German capital club have agreed a deal to sign Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi.

The 21-year-old Frenchman will join Hertha on loan without an option to buy, as per the report.

Fussballtransfers reports that the Bundesliga side will put €4 million on the table to land Guendouzi on loan.

Guendouzi has fallen down the pecking order since Mikel Arteta was appointed Arsenal manager in December 2019.

He has made a total of 82 appearances for 'The Gunners' with one goal and five assists to his name.

With Guendouzi set to arrive at Hertha BSC, Arne Maier has been given permission to join Arminia Bielefeld on loan.
