Thomas Müller and Robert Lewandowski grabbed a brace each before Ritsu Doan pulled one back for the hosts.
With 76 minutes on the clock, Bayern were reduced to 10 men as Corentin Tolisso was shown a straight red card for bringing down Fabian Klos as the last man.
The result means Bayern climb to second behind RB Leipzig while Bielefeld sit 14th.
Later on Saturday, Jonas Hofmann and Wout Weghorst scored the goals as Gladbach and Wolfsburg shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at Borussia-Park.
