RB Leipzig will be without Marcel Halstenberg for their home game against Hertha BSC on Saturday.

Halstenberg will miss the game following a bereavement in his family, RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann revealed at the pre-match press conference.

"Marcel Halstenberg will not be available due to personal reasons. He will attend a funeral in Hannover on Friday and we want to give him some personal time," Nagelsmann told reporters.

Asked who could come in to replace the 29-year-old German international, Nagelsmann said:

"There are several candidates. We have Nordi [Mukiele], Willi [Orban] and 'Ibu' [Konaté]. 'Benni' [Henrichs] could also play a role,"

'Die Roten Bullen' will also have to manage without Konrad Laimer, Lukas Klostermann and Amadou Haidara, but Marcel Sabitzer could come back into the squad.
