How Germany could line up against Spain

We take a look at the team Germany coach Joachim Löw could field for Tuesday's UEFA Nations League encounter with Spain.

Germany play their last game of 2020 when they lock horns with Spain away from home in the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday.

After 'Die Mannschaft' beat Ukraine 3-1 on Saturday, a draw will be enough for them to win their group, but Germany coach Joachim Löw is aware that getting a result against Spain will be anything but easy.

"It's very pleasing to be top of the group and have our fate in our own hands. We're up against a very good side tomorrow and it will be a real challenge to get a result," the Germany coach said at Monday's pre-match press conference.

Germany will be without Antonio Rüdiger due to a yellow card ban while Toni Kroos could come back into the starting eleven after returning from a suspension. Meanwhile, Niklas Süle is a slight doubt, but should be fit to start.

Löw, who has recently reverted from a back three to a back four, was coy on his tactics for Tuesday's game at Monday's press conference.

"All systems have advantages and disadvantages. We want to be able to react to Spain's way of playing," he said.

Here is the starting eleven we expect to see:

Manuel Neuer

Benjamin Henrichs
Niklas Süle
Matthias Ginter
Philipp Max

Toni Kroos
Ilkay Gündogan
Leon Goretzka

Leroy Sané
Serge Gnabry
Timo Werner
