Dan-Axel Zagadou could be in line to make his first appearance this season when Borussia Dortmund lock horns with Eintracht Frankfurt away from home in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

With both Mats Hummels and Emre Can doubtful due to injuries, the French centre-back could come into the line-up after recovering from a long-term knee injury.

"Zagadou hasn't played in several months, but he could start tomorrow," revealed Dortmund coach Lucien Favre at the pre-match press conference.

As for Hummels, who was forced off with an injury in Wednesday's 1-1 draw with Lazio, Favre said:

"Mats took a hard hit. We'll see today whether he can play tomorrow. Several other players are struggling with knocks. We'll check on them after training as well."

Besides Can and Hummels, Dortmund are sweating on the fitness of Thomas Meunier and Raphael Guerreiro.

Additionally, Dortmund will be without Erling Haaland until January.
