Krzysztof Piatek: 'We showed that we’re a better team than Union'
Krzysztof Piatek has reacted to Hertha's derby victory over Union Berlin.
Krzysztof Piatek scored a brace as Hertha BSC came from behind to beat Union Berlin 3-1 in Friday's derby clash.
Speaking in a post-match interview, the striker said he felt Hertha proved that they have more quality than their local rivals.
"I’m really happy, it’s a wonderful feeling. It’s always important to score goals as a striker, so I’m very happy to have been able to help the teams with my goals. We showed that we’re a better team than Union," said Piatek.
"We have to continue focusing on the simple things in the next games so that we don’t make too many mistakes. We went to the Ostkurve at the end as a gesture for the fans. We need them and we won it for them!"
