Gladbach coach Marco Rose confirms Breel Embolo will be in his squad to face Dortmund

Breel Embolo will return to Gladbach's squad for Friday's encounter with Borussia Dortmund after missing out on Tuesday's clash with Werder Bremen due to a corona-related rule breach.
Borussia Mönchengladbach coach Marco Rose has confirmed that Breel Embolo will be available for Friday's Bundesliga clash with Borussia Dortmund.

The Swiss international will make his return to the squad after he was left out of the team for Tuesday's 1-0 win over Werder Bremen as a precautionary measure for a possible violation of a protective corona-related protocol.

"Breel will be there against Dortmund," Rose confirmed to reporters after the game against Werder.

However, this doesn't mean that the issue is over and done with.

Embolo took to Instagram on Monday to apologize to his teammates, admitting that he had travelled to a friend's house in Essen on Saturday evening to watch a basketball game.

In the same post, Embolo denied that he attended a private party, which was held in the immediate vicinity of his friend's apartment. For Gladbach, the issue now is whether the striker was telling the truth to the club and his teammates.

"Optimally, we'll find the ways and means to get the truth out. I already believe Breel's lawyers are working on that," said Rose.
