Manchester City are reportedly plotting a huge transfer deal to take place in order to lure Dortmund teenage sensation Giovanni Reyna & the formidable in-form Erling Haaland – according to a report by 90min.

Pep Guardiola has been a huge admirer of the duo’s capabilities and with striker Sergio Aguero most likely to part ways at the end of the Premier League season, Man City will look to bolster their attack with a prolific striker in the name of Haaland.

Reyna however, if signed by City, will spend another season on loan at Dortmund in order to find more minutes and develop as a player.

Haaland has been in tremendous form since moving to Dortmund from RB Salzburg, scoring 43 goals in 43 matches, averaging one goal per match - a fantastic statistic for a 20-year-old whose attacking prowess seem to have no bounds.

Reyna, on the other hand, has played 31 times already this season, scoring 4 goals and assisting 6 in the process. He has been touted as the next biggest thing in American soccer, having captained the USMNT side in the youth level.

Additionally, both the players have a history that ties them to the Premier Legaue giants. Erling Haaland’s father, Alfe Inge and Reyna’s father, Claudio Reyna, both played for the Cityzens during their respective careers.

Manchester City will not only face stiff competition from Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester United, but also from the likes of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, who themselves are keen on landing either one of the talents.
