Nagelsmann praises double-six set up of Olmo and Adams: "They both did a top-notch job"

Still beaming from the remarkable comeback win over Gladbach on the weekend, RB Leipzig trainer Julian Nagelsmann had special praise for his impromptu set of sixes.
The absolute tactical masterclass that saw the German Red Bulls complete a sensational comeback victory over Gladbach on the weekend featured an arrangement Julian Nagelsmann may wish to keep. Deprived of Angelino and (later Marcel Sabitzer), the innovative young trainer moved Dani Olmo back to pair with Tyler Adams in a double-six set-up.

Asked to comment on the improvised constellation, the 33-year-old first had praise for both the Spaniard and the American.

"Both of them dealt with a lot of balls, and they were great with the distribution," Nagelsmann noted, "I was incredibly satisfied. They both did a top-notch job."

Whether or not the ever-inventive trainer plans to stick with this set-up in a highly anticipated Wednesday Pokal showdown with Wolfsburg remains to be seen.

In any event, Nagelsmann twice declared himself "highly satisfied" with Olmo and took special care to laud the young American.

"I want to praise him briefly," the RB trainer said of Adams, "he's been a stable force for weeks."
