Frankfurt confirm loss of Almamy Touré for several weeks

An 11 minute appearance as a substitute ended up having grave consequences for Frankfurt's Almamy Touré on Saturday. 

Two days later, the club revealed that the French fullback will be out long-term.

SGE head-coach feared the worse when Almamy Touré indicated that he could not continue late in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Stuttgart. Examinations the following day confirmed that the 24-year-old suffered a ruptured tendon and will definitely be out for several weeks.

Touré has made 24 appearances for die Adler this season. Long out of the starting XI equation since trainer Hütter committed to a back-three, the Bamako, Mali native had nevertheless been in very good form. Hütter devised a clear role for him in his late-game tactical readjustment; one that now needs revision.
