UEFA Champions League last 16 second leg: Gladbach face Manchester City in Budapest, once again

The coronavirus pandemic has forced clubs to change locations due to restrictions being imposed by countries to visitors.
Borussia Mönchengladbach’s second leg Champions League last 16 tie next week will take in Budapest, just like the first leg. Gladbach's away leg was initially plannedcto take place in Manchester, but with coronavirus restrictions in place in Germany (to quarantine for 14 days upon return from England), the German club informed UEFA that they cannot travel to England for the very same reason.

Both the clubs have unanimously come to the decision to play the 2nd leg tie in Hungary, once again, in the Puskas Arena - according to an official statement by Gladbach.

Manchester City have a 2-0 advantage from the first leg, thanks to goals from Bernardo Silva and Gabriel Jesus. The Germans were outclassed by the Cityzens and just had one shot on target throughout the game.

The match was played in Budapest at the Puskas Arena due to travel restrictions being imposed upon travellers from UK to Germany.

The repeat fixture is bound to take place at the same stadium.
