Report: Frankfurt find possible successor for Fredi Bobic

Eintracht Frankfurt are said to have lined up AC Milan boss Hendrik Almstadt as Fredi Bobic's successor.
AC Milan executive assistant Hendrik Almstadt has reportedly emerged as the favorite to be named new Eintracht Frankfurt head of sport.

According to Bild, Frankfurt have identified the 48-year-old as their top candidate to succeed Fredi Bobic, who has declared that he wants to leave this summer, probably with the intention of taking over the vacant head of sport position at Hertha BSC.

Almstadt spent several years as an executive assistant at Arsenal before serving as Aston Villa sporting director from July 2015 to March 2016. He later joined AC Milan in January 2019.

Like Eintracht's supervisory board boss, Philip Holzer, he used to work for the investment bank Goldman Sachs.
