Has Shkodran Mustafi played his last game for Schalke 04?

Bild claims Shkodran Mustafi is highly unlikely to feature again for Schalke this season.

Shkodran Mustafi has most likely played his last match for Schalke 04, according to Bild.

The German tabloid claims there is a 'high probability' that the 28-year-old will not feature again under Schalke coach Dimitrios Grammozis after a string of disappointing performances following his move from Arsenal a few months ago.

Most recently, Mustafi was left out of Schalke's squad for Saturday's 1-2 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen 'for sporting reasons'.

"We have taken our measures and decided on the best possible squad. The manner of our performance in Leverkusen justified it," Grammozis told reporters after the game.

Mustafi's contract expires this summer.
