Borussia Dortmund are gearing up for a tough challenge as they prepare to face Premier League leaders Manchester City away from home in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Coming off a highly disappointing 1-2 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt, Dortmund want to 'show a strong reaction,' centre-back Emre Can underlined at the pre-match press conference.

However, coming up against a Manchester City side that have won 27 of their last 28 games, it will take a special effort to get a good result.

"City are currently the strongest team in the world with incredible quality," admitted Dortmund coach Edin Terzic.

"It's an exciting task where we need to show our top performance across both matches.

"City will hold a lot of possession, we have to assume that tomorrow. They like to tire their opponents in order to open up space.

When we have the ball, we have to get going - that is when it becomes difficult to stop us."

Terzic could make a few changes from the team that lost to Eintracht Frankfurt, with Mateu Morey and Mahmoud Dahoud likely to come into the line-up at the expense of Manuel Akanji and Nico Schulz.

Here's the BVB team we expect to see against City:

Marwin Hitz

Mateu Morey
Emre Can
Mats Hummels
Raphael Guerreiro

Thomas Delaney
Mahmoud Dahoud
Jude Bellingham

Thorgan Hazard
Erling Haaland
Marco Reus

Manchester City's probable line-up: Ederson - Walker, Dias, Stones, Cancelo - Bernardo Silva, Rodri, Gündogan - Foden, De Bruyne, Sterling.
