Wolfsburg in 'advanced talks' to replace Glasner with van Bommel

Former PSV coach Mark van Bommel is said to be in advanced talks to replace Oliver Glasner at Wolfsburg.
Mark van Bommel could be in line to replace Oliver Glasner as Wolfsburg coach at the end of the season.

According to Sport Bild, 'Die Wölfe' are in advanced talks with the 44-year-old, who has been unemployed since he was sacked by PSV in December.

Despite third-placed Wolfsburg's impressive performances this season, Glasner is likely to be on the move this summer after falling out with sporting managing director Jörg Schmadtke.

Glasner, 46, has been linked with RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt, who are both looking to appoint a new coach.

In addition to van Bommel, Borussia Dortmund interim coach Edin Terzic has been touted for the job at Wolfsburg.
