Union Berlin complete second summer signing
Paul Jaeckel will join Union Berlin from Greuther Fürth.
Union Berlin have completed the signing of 22-year-old centre-back Paul Jaeckel from 2. Bundesliga outfit Greuther Fürth.
Following the signing of Rani Khedira from Augsburg, Jaeckel is the second player to join Union ahead of the 2021/22 season.
The former Wolfsburg defender will join Union on a free transfer when his contract expires this summer.
"Paul has been developed really well and is a reflective young player who has already proven himself in the top half of the 2.Bundesliga. We are pleased to be able to win this talented player for us and trust him to take the next step in his career, now in the Bundesliga with us," said Union Berlin managing director Oliver Ruhnert.
