Schalke confirm Hertha clash will take place despite several coronavirus cases
Tonight's Bundesliga game between Schalke 04 and Hertha BSC will go on as planned.
Schalke 04 have confirmed that tonight's Bundesliga game against Hertha BSC will take place despite multiple positive COVID-19 tests.
In total, seven players from the already-relegated Bundesliga club are currently in quarantine.
"During PCR testing on Tuesday (11 May), one player of the FC Schalke 04 licensed team tested positive for COVID-19. The player in question is in strict isolation within the quarantine training camp," said Schalke 04 in a statement.
"He is the third player in total to currently test positive for corona. The other two players were already in domestic isolation before the start of the quarantine training camp. Four other players assigned to contact group one are under quarantine."
