Werder part ways with Florian Kohfeldt

Werder Bremen have sacked Florian Kohfeldt following Saturday's 2-0 loss against Augsburg.

Florian Kohfeldt has been relieved of his duties as Werder Bremen coach with immediate effect.

Thomas Schaaf will take charge of the relegation-threatened team until further notice.

Werder Bremen sit 16th, one point clear of 17th-placed FC Köln, with one game left to play this season.

'The Green-Whites' have taken just one point from their last nine Bundesliga games.
