Bielefeld boss plays down Pohjanpalo links
Arminia Bielefeld managing director for sport Samir Arabi has played down reports linking Joel Pohjanpalo with a move to the club.
Bayer Leverkusen striker Joel Pohjanpalo has recently been linked with a switch to Arminia Bielefeld.
But the 26-year-old Finnish international is out of reach for Arminia, according to the club's managing director for sport, Samir Arabi.
"He's a super interesting player. We also tried to get Pohjanpalo last year. But financially, it was and is simply not an option for us."
Pohjanpalo, who is under contract with Leverkusen until 2022, spent the 2020/21 season on loan at Union Berlin, finding the net six times in 30 games.
