RB Leipzig have joined Bayer Leverkusen and VfB Stuttgart in the running for Nico Schlotterbeck, according to SWR.

Per the report, 'Die Roten Bullen' have targeted the 21-year-old Freiburg centre-back as an alternative to Wolfsburg's Maxence Lacroix, who remains their first priority.

Schlotterbeck is available for a reported €15 million, which is only half as much as Wolfsburg are said to be demanding for Lacroix.

He spent last season on loan at Union Berlin, featuring 17 times.
