Ismail Jakobs pulls out of Germany's Olympics squad

Ismail Jakobs has pulled out of Germany's squad for the Summer Olympics after his transfer to AS Monaco.

Following his switch from FC Köln to AS Monaco, Ismail Jakobs will not be travelling to Tokyo for the Olympics.

The German Football Association (DFB) confirmed on Monday evening that the 21-year-old will not be linking up with the rest of the squad for the trip to to Japanese capital.

Josha Vagnoman and Niklas Dorsch have already withdrawn from the initial squad. Ragnar Ache and Keven Schlotterbeck have since been called up to replace them.

Stefan Kuntz's team, which now only includes 18 players, will face Brazil in their first group stage game on 22 July.
