France's preeminent sporting publication claims that FC Nantes is preparing to file a motion against Eintracht Frankfurt over a breach of FIFA Fair Play regulations.

According to an article appearing Monday on L'Equipe, FC Nantes has identified a Fair-Play-Breach in Eintracht Frankfurt's courtship of forward Randal Kolo Muani. Contact taking place last winter evidently ran afoul of rules requiring club contact first when a footballer finds himself under a long term contract.

German media sources report that the SGE have attempted to organize a transfer for the striker, and that a €5 million offer was ultimately rejected by the Ligue 1 club. At issue, however, was the manner in which the Frankfurt administrative team did not consult with Nantes first. Under current FIFA Fair Play regulations, players can only negotiate freely with other clubs when they have six months remaining on their current contract. Kolo Muani's contract runs through 2022.

L'Equipe notes that attempts to contact FC Nantes to confirm the pending legal action have gone unanswered. France's FA nevertheless has a hard copy of intent to file a motion on file.
