Sport Bild Report: Unhappy with salary level, Amin Younes lodges transfer request

A very surprising report from Germany's main sporting tabloid claims that German international Amin Younes has requested a departure from Germany's commercial capital.

Amin Younes.
Twenty-seven-year-old German attacker Amin Younes seemed fully satisfied with his return to the Bundesrepublik. In the midst of an impressive season back in Germany, Younes had nothing but the kindest words for his new colleagues and trainers at Eintracht Frankfurt. At one point, he even used the German colloquialism "pudelwohl" to describe his level of comfort. The phrase loosely translates to "as comfortable as a puddle".

Younes is evidently not feeling that degree of comfort anymore. The man who even earned his first national team call-up in over three years thanks to his performances in the Bundesliga has not seen his so-called "bargain basement" purchase clause triggered. The reason for this, according to Sport Bild, is that the S.S.C. Napoli loanee doesn't want his current club to do so.

The matter is one of personal salary. Younes reportedly took a pay cut--from €4 million annually to €2 million--as part of his loan arrangement. Activating the purchase clause would see Younes stuck at that stipend level in the long term. Under such circumstances, Younes wishes the SGE to dissolve the loan so that he may return to Napoli and test the market. Sport Bild links him with Dubai.
