In recent weeks and months, Thomas Delaney has been linked a move away from Borussia Dortmund, with the likes of Crystal Palace, Southampton and Norwich City touted as possible destinations.

However, the 29-year-old Danish international might have a future at Signal Iduna Park after all.

According to Ruhr Nachrichten (via Sport.de), Dortmund have opened talks with Delaney about a potential extension of his contract, which expires in 2022.

Delaney featured a total of 34 times for Dortmund last season, racking up a goal and five assists.

He faces competition from Jude Bellingham, Mahmoud Dahoud, Emre Can and Axel Witsel in central midfield.
