Hertha BSC have completed the signing of Stevan Jovetic on a free transfer.

The 31-year-old forward was a free agent after his contract with AS Monaco expired at the end of last season.

In the course of his career, Jovetic has also played for Fiorentina, Manchester City, Inter and Sevilla among others.

"Stevan is a classical centre forward, who has bags of experience in Europe’s top leagues. He’s scored goals in the Premier League, Serie A, Ligue 1 and La Liga. His footballing qualities, plus his personality will help us immediately. We’re looking forward to him," said Hertha board member for sport Fredi Bobic.

Jovetic commented:

"I had really good conversations with the club, in particular with Fredi Bobic. I was really interested by this chance to come to Berlin right away. I’m now looking forward to this club, the city, my new teammates and the Bundesliga."

Jovetic joins the German capital club as a replacement for Jhon Cordoba, who was recently sold to FK Krasnodar.
