Reports: Mainz near €3.5 million purchase of Fürth's Anton Stach

Germany's main sporting tabloid reports that FSV Mainz 05 have found their replacement for departed central midfielders Danny Latza and Pierre Kunde Malong.

Promoted SpVgg Greuther Fürth are apparently set for a very big payday following the sale of Germany U21 international Anton Stach.
It's been a year of ups and downs for 22-year-old midfielder Anton Stach. The Hamburg native played an important role in helping his club team achieve promotion to the German top flight and also received generally positive reviews for his work on Stefan Kuntz's European Championship winning Germany U21 side.

The disappointment associated with being part of the failed German Olympic side shouldn't last long as it appears the promising youngster is headed to a new club on the up for a record-breaking price. Germany's Sport Bild reports that FSV Mainz 05 near completion of a €3.5 million deal to bring him  to the Pfalz.

Other German media sources corroborate the report and the transfer amount. The price tag would render Stach the most expensive sale in Fürth's history. At such a price, one tacitly assumes that Stach is headed directly for a place in Bo Svensson's starting XI.
