Joe Scally in line to make his competitive debut for Gladbach

U.S. youth international Joe Scally looks set to make his competitive debut for Gladbach in the DFB-Pokal on Monday.
Joe Scally is in line to make his first competitive start for Borussia Mönchengladbach as the Bundesliga outfit face Kaiserslautern in the first round of the DFB-Pokal on Monday.

With the game coming too soon for the injured Ramy Bensebaini and new signing Luca Netz,
the 18-year-old looks set to start on the left side of defence.

Assessing his squad at a press conference on Friday ahead of the game, Gladbach coach Adi Hütter told reporters:

"Alassane Pléa and Jonas Hofmann will join training today, but it's not clear if they'll be fit for Monday. Denis Zakaria and Manu Koné are still out with knocks. Ramy Bensebaini isn't ready yet either, plus we have Jordan Beyer out ill.

"Luca Netz isn't an option to start on Monday - he's too new to everything. Plus,
Joe Scally has done a fine job in pre-season so far."
