The US international didn't take part in Werder Bremen's final training session on Friday. According to the official club website, the reason for this is "an imminent transfer of the striker."

CBS Sports reported that newly-promoted Premier League side Norwich City are "in advanced talks with the USMNT international" and could be travelling to England for a medical in the coming days.

Werder sporting director Frank Baumann commented on Sargent:

"We are about to finalize a transfer with a foreign club. As a result, Josh told us that he would not be able to play on Saturday. We then released him from the the final training session."
