RB Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi is in contention to get his first call-up to the German senior national team this month, according to Sport Bild.

Per the report, new Germany scout Herrmann Gerland was in the stands to see Adeyemi and RB Salzburg beat Austria Wien 1-0 earlier this month.

19-year-old Adeyemi has had an impressive start to the new season, scoring six goals in six appearances under new RB Salzburg coach Matthias Jaissle.

The Munich native played for Bayern München as a youth player, but joined Unterhacing in 2011 after he was released for disciplinary reasons.

Later this month, Germany coach Hansi Flick will name his first squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Liectenstein, Armenia and Iceland.
