Confirmed: Hannover take young Hoffenheim striker Beier on loan

Hannover 96 will give 18-year-old German attacking prospect Maximilian Beier a chance to raise his profile this year in the 2. Bundesliga.
Teenage striker Maximilian Beier made his professional debut for Hoffenheim in February 2020, yet wasn't able to crack the first team after that. The Brandenburg native made just three appearances for Sebastian Hoeneß' senior side during the 2020/21 campaign. All three subs on were meaningless late time-kill subs.

Beier will get another chance to prove himself this year in the country's second footballing division this year. Beier's parent club and Hannover 96 announced a season-long loan arrangement on Thursday. It is not yet known whether the arrangement contains a purchase clause. Beier's existing deal with the Sinsheimers runs through 2024.

"I see the Hannover 96 loan as a wonderful opportunity for me," Beier noted in a statement, "I want to show what I can do and will give it my all to get as much match time as soon as possible."

Hannover sporting director Marcus Mann and head-coach Jan Zimmermann lauded the new arrival in their own statements, hinting that the "highly versatile attacker"'s use was planned. Beier tallied nine times for the Hoffenheim reserves in the Regionalliga last year.
