RB Leipzig were finally able to welcome their fans back into the Red Bull Arena on Friday as they thrashed VfB Stuttgart 4-0 in front of around 23,100 people.

And Emil Forsberg, who scored his side's 2-0 goal, thoroughly enjoyed playing in front of the home crowd again.

"That was just pure goosebumps. We've had to wait so long to play in front of our fans and absolutely wanted to give them a victory tonight. We were really up for it and the fans' support made us even better. The fans were so loud that it felt like 45,000," said Forsberg.

"We did a lot right tonight and deservedly won 4-0. It was a strong performance from the whole team. We had a great week behind us, trained strongly and it's just very enjoyable. Everything came together tonight so we can be very pleased on the whole."
