RB Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff and commercial director for sport Florian Scholz have traveled to Barcelona to conclude negotiations for 18-year-old Ilaix Moriba, according to Sportbuzzer.

Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo recently reported that Tottenham looked set to pip Leipzig to the signing of the highly-rated midfielder.

But Sky claims the Premier League side have been informed that Moriba would prefer to join Leipzig instead, with the 18-year-old reportedly ready to sign a five-year deal with 'Die Roten Bullen'.

Barcelona are said to be holding out for a fee of around €20 million for the youngster, who is out of contract in 2022, but Leipzig will probably try to push the price down.

Should the two clubs fail to reach an agreement, Moriba could make the switch free of charge next summer.
