The player himself is interested in a move from the Champions League participants to the German 2nd division and he has a verbal agreement with Werder, but Young Boys' sporting director Christoph Spycher does not want Fassnacht to leave.
Spycher insists that a valuation of €5m is suitable for a player of Fassnacht's quality but Werder are not willing to meet that valuation set by the Swiss club.
Fassnacht's contract with BSC Young Boys ends in 2023, and the winger notched up 10 goals in 36 league games for a Young Boys side that dominated the Swiss Super League in the 2020/21 season.
