Terzic gives update on Malen and Sabitzer ahead of Leipzig clash

Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic gave an injury update on Donyell Malen and Marcel Sabitzer on Friday.

Donyell Malen looks set to miss out again for Borussia Dortmund when they take on RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

‘The Black and Yellows’ will already have to manage without Ramy Bensebaini, Sebastien Haller, Emre Can and Ian Maatsen.

On the bright side for BVB, Marcel Sabitzer is expected to be available despite training being reduced this week.

"Ramy Bensebaini and Seb Haller are still in rehab, Emre Can and Ian Maatsen are suspended and Donyell Malen is still not pain-free. It's a bit frustrating and doesn't look good for the weekend," Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic told reporters at a press conference on Friday.

"We've been cautious with Marcel Sabitzer, but he's going to train with us right away and we're confident [about his availability].

“Of course, we'd prefer to have everyone available, but every game brings new challenges and we'll tackle them. The good defending of late is not just down to Ian Maatsen and Emre Can. We're defending better as a team, although I didn't like what I saw in the first half against Leverkusen.”
