Goals from Milos Lukovic and Semih Sahin secured a 2-0 win for Kaiserslautern over Bochum. The hosts climbed to the top four after their fourth win of the season, while Uwe Rösler's side lost three of their last four games.
Youngsters Ibrahim Kanate and Lukovic combined for the opening goal of the game in the half-hour mark. The Serbian striker had to wait until matchday 8 for his competitive debut, but he made it worthwhile with a composed finish.
With the captain Marlon Ritter on the substitute bench, Sahin sealed the win from penalty-kick 15 minutes from time after former Arsenal youngster Charlie Patino was adjudged to foul Nico Elvedi's brother, Jan. Timo Horn got his hand to Sahin's effort, but couldn't keep it out as Kaiserslautern scored their eighth goal of the season.
Despite their shyness in front of goal, Torsten Lieberknecht's side are yet to conceded a goal in front of their supporters. Bochum have only found the net five times in their first eight games of the campaign.
