Nürnberg were close to sealing their second win of the new year on Friday, but they dropped two points as Preußen Münster’s captain Jorrit Hendrix saved the day for the visitors. As a result, Miroslav Klose’s side missed a golden chance to close the gap with the outsiders in the promotion race.
The hosts had multiple chances to take the lead in the first half, but they had to wait until the 56th minute for the opening goal of the match. The young Italian striker Muhammad Ali Zoma broke the deadlock as Münster were punished for a mistake in their buildup play from the back.
Hendrix’s second goal of the season came from a rare counterattacking chance for the minnows. The former Fortuna Düsseldorf midfielder combined well with Mikkel Kirkeskov before slotting it home into the bottom corner. Münster remain winless in 2026, but that goal could be vital in their fight to avoid a drop.
