Italian broadcaster Sportmediaset is now reporting that Inter Milan has agreed to an early contract extension with Yann Bisseck.

According to the source, the Bayern Munich-linked defender Bisseck is set to extend his contract by two more years until 2031.

This, in theory, would commit the German international to the Italian club from Milan for the foreseeable future at least.

A little over a few weeks ago, a departure seemed quite possible, with Inter reportedly open to offers of around €40million.

With the contract extension now imminent, this scenario seems to be off the table, making a move to Bayern also highly unlikely.

Off the pitch, the 25-year-old apparently wants to take on more responsibility as well, which he recently emphasized during a training camp.

After several years at the club, he wants to assume a leadership role and, in particular, serve as a role model for the younger players.
