With 17-year-old Leonard Prescott’s contract set to expire in the summer of 2027, Bayern Munich are determined to prevent the young goalkeeper from leaving on a free transfer.

According to the Sky podcast “Mia san vier”, talks are currently underway between the two parties over a contract extension.

However, negotiations are proving complicated, as the German champions can't offer Prescott a clear path to first-team football, with Jonas Urbig seen as the club’s long-term No. 1.

The Germany U17 international is currently recovering from a meniscus injury that has kept him sidelined since June.

According to Sky, the 17-year-old has plenty of options, with numerous clubs in Germany and abroad interested in signing him.
