Bayern's Raphaël Guerreiro reportedly considering imminent retirement

The Portuguese player has been ravaged by injuries in recent years and could be set to call time on his career.

According to TZ München's sources, Bayern Munich star Raphaël Guerreiro is considering retiring from professional football immediately.

It's believed the full-back could hang up his boots for good after this Saturday's DFB Pokal final against VfB Stuttgart.

Having struggled with injuries throughout the latter half of his career, constantly having to regain fitness has taken its toll on him. 

Furthermore, there are currently no rumours in circulation linking the versatile 32-year-old with a transfer to a different club.

Guerreiro first moved to the Bundesliga back in June 2016, arriving at Borussia Dortmund for a €12million fee from Ligue 1 side Lorient. 

He won two DFB-Pokal titles with BVB before leaving to join Bayern as a free agent in 2023, putting pen to paper on a three-year deal. 

There, with the Bavarian giants, he picked up two Bundesliga trophies in 2024-25 and 2025-26 as well as the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup.
