According to a report from England, Bayern Munich were prepared to spend just over €70 million to sign Liverpool youngster Rio Ngumoha last summer. Bayern Munich were linked with a move for Liverpool wonderkid Rio Ngumoha last summer, but the transfer ultimately failed to materialise.

Now, The Telegraph reports that the German champions were willing to spend as much as €72 million on the 18-year-old.

In early June, Sky Germany reported that Bayern had agreed on a five-year deal with Ngumoha's representatives.

However, Bayern's pursuit was ultimately halted, as Liverpool were unwilling to let the youngster leave.

After Liverpool ruled out a potential sale, Bayern turned their attention elsewhere and eventually strengthened their attack by signing Ismael Saibari from PSV for €50 million.

Meanwhile, Ngumoha remained at Liverpool and has made 11 appearances for the Reds this season.
