Bournemouth have reached an agreement to appoint ex-Gladbach, Dortmund and RB Leipzig coach Marco Rose as Andoni Iraola's successor.

Rose will officially take charge this summer but a deal has been reached to allow both Rose and club to plan for next season, Sky reports.

Iraola revealed on Tuesday, 14 April, that he would be departing his role as head coach when his contract expires at the end of the season,

Almost instantly, ex-RB Leipzig boss Rose was the frontrunner to succeed Iraola, with the club working quickly to make an appointment.

The 49-year-old was always their number one target to replace Iraola because of his similar footballing philosophy and style of play.

There will be no formal announcement anytime soon, but the club are working on completing his paperwork and work visa.

The makeup of his backroom team is currently being discussed. Rose has been out of management since being sacked by RB Leipzig in March 2025.

During his time as coach in the German topflight, Rose managed to win the DFL-Supercup and DFB-Pokal in 2023 with Leipzig.
